Since it is—I hate to sound like I give into the ways of the heathen whatsoever—so-called “pride month,” where homosexuals openly and sinfully display their degeneracy for all to see, some who understandably don’t like the looks of things have made responses to these people. And as I will show, they have not been very effective responses, since they have merely been to combat pride with pride.

As a way of supposedly fighting back against these things, thousands of conservatives can be seen online “countering” so-called “pride month” by showing the things they are proud of instead. Under the delusion that they are so much better than the prideful gays, hundreds of conservative pages (with hundreds of thousands of nods of approval) have been posting a picture of an American flag saying “this is my pride flag!” They believe that the American flag, which represents the bloodshed of an evil regime rather than “liberty,” is somehow the “polar opposite” of the “pride flag.”

Not only do they not realize the problem, that is that they are among the foolishly prideful people, but nor do they see that this pride is at the very least on par with the one they believe they are challenging by displaying their statist pride instead. But the scriptures say that “everyone who is proud in his heart is an abomination to the Lord” (Proverbs 16:5), which certainly doesn’t exclude the “American pride” held by those who think they have proposed a great comeback to the “gay pride” folks.

It doesn’t even occur to them that for embracing a form of pride themselves, that they are no better than the gays who they are condemning on the other hand. Surely countering gay pride with statism (so much better!) would perfectly meet Jesus’s lesson on judging people without having seen your own errors. “How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye” (Matthew 7:4-5).

And nor do they see that statism, i.e., idolatry and pride for the political system we live under, is arguably worse. For while we can assume such moral degeneracy as homosexuality and transgenderism to have played a part in past societies that God condemned (Jude 1:27), God’s word emphasizes the evils of supporting human kings much more than it does the former complaint of conservatives, who are only lately angry about the things they see but have not at all been concerned for the destructive consequences of their statism/patriotism. To most conservatives, who are very late to the party in witnessing the decline of Western society, the widespread embrace of homosexuality and so-called “transgenderism” are the main proofs that things are headed in a bad direction; their prideful, patriotic support of the statist society apparently had nothing to do with the direction things have gone.  

But if these men had read their Bibles, they would know that God hates statism at least as much as He hates to see people rebel against the way God made them with same-sex relationships and transgenderism (Genesis 1:27, 5:2; Leviticus 18:22, Matthew 19:4, Romans 1:26-27). 

Unfortunately, most “Christians” are more triggered by such “gay pride” than the statist pride that we’ve seen in this country for so long — as if such social orders that defy God by setting up States wouldn’t turn out like this. Indeed, they think statist pride is a way of countering gay pride.

But this wide display of homosexuality and “transgenderism” that we’re seeing is only a late-stage manifestation of a society that has for so long forsaken the Lord and turned away backwards from His ways, namely by making men into gods and calling them “governors.” They are more so a natural effect of such a political social order as we have set up, which have long ago turned away from God by substituting the State—and its “laws,” moral code, relativism, education, indoctrination, etc—for a family-centered society based around the truth of the scriptures. Without such institutions as the “public school,” we would have to wonder if the gay phenomenon would have ever even picked up steam in our time. Without such family-abolishing institutions as the State itself, which has always used its programs as a way of attacking the family, it’s hard to imagine that “pride month” could have ever become a thing.

It is a little odd to react to the relatively recent explosion of homosexuality and transgenderism (in our time) as if things suddenly went wrong, while not acknowledging the decades upon decades of statist pride that conservatives played a part in carrying. 

Really, it was the pride of statism—the support for such evil empires that are born in a rebellion against God—that ever allowed the situation we are seeing today, where gays parade around in the streets and flaunt their immorality and socialist ideology for everyone to see. 

It somewhat akin—I struggle here for an analogy—to complaining of bitter and inedible fruit coming from a tree, when that tree (the statist foundation of our society) was itself planted in sin. Of course things are turning out this way. But to whine about the result, without confronting the root, shows just how dumb conservatives are. How stupid are “patriotic conservatives” to be surprised this is where we landed? By supporting the morally indefensible State, they took part in the decline of society that allowed for these things to happen.

The dangers of statism

However degenerate the people are today in their sexual immorality, and however much the things we’re seeing today are a sign of the times (i.e., that we live in the Sodom and Gomorrah of our age), such things are not as dangerous (i.e., murderous) as the pride of statism, i.e., the patriotic support of the State and its rulers, which has led to millions of people being slaughtered in wars that sought to “defend the nation.” It is such statist endeavors as “keeping people safe from terrorists” that allow such systems to build up domestic police states, surveillance apparatuses, and agencies that act as the very terrorists they supposedly protect us from. All possible only when men hold the pride of statism. “American pride” has killed more people than “gay pride.” (And I don’t want to provide gays with arguments either, but unfortunately conservatives are so stupid and incapable of mounting any resistance to the troubles in our world that they open themselves up to such attacks).

It is conservatives’ patriotic support of the State, more than homosexuals’ embrace of their own degeneracy, that has caused us to go into captivity to political rulers and has left our future at the mercy of tyrants. We got to this point of unfreedom not because rainbow flags flew around in the streets, but because American flag-wavers proudly stood behind the rise of foreign and domestic militarism.

Whatever we could say of the gays (and surely they are not pleasant in the sight of the Lord and are perhaps expediting His judgment upon our society), they have not killed and robbed as many people as governments have, which is only possible when “hoorah” men wave flags in support of these murderers — when conservative idiots say “this [the American flag] is my pride flag.” 

Contrary to what small-brained conservatives think, it doesn’t make one appear any better than proud homosexuals to respond, “Oh, you’re proud to be gay? Yeah, well I’m proud of living under a system of political plunder…take that!” It is not only ignorant, but it works much more evil in our world than homosexuals, who are more so basking in the darkness than they are supporting the blatant sin of dropping bombs on children, which is what supporting the blood-soaked American flag always implies. (I can already hear the small-brains countering that I must be a “democrat” for opposing statism).

State worshipers, then, are no better than the gays whom they hate. The pride of statism is, at the very least, a sin up there with “gay pride.” But arguably, at least when it comes to murder and theft, it’s worse. It is the support for such kings, presidents, politicians, police and soldiers, all which these conservatives stand behind as alleged counter-argument to the homosexuals’ pride, that lead such societies on a path of plunder, moral decay, and social degeneracy in the first place. It is statism that sets up a more dangerous society than “gay pride” paraders do (though, again, it all goes hand-in-hand). 

God’s judgment upon prideful statists

Conservatives are fools if they believe that their statist pride is somehow better than “gay pride,” and that this form of pride—worshiping the evil State and its violent rulers—is somehow exempt from the divine judgment that God brings upon societies. Arguably, its the pride of statism—the idolatrous belief that the “U.S.A.” is the toughest country ever and will never fail—that God specifically aims to destroy. As He says of rebellious men of the past, who we know erected kings as part of their rebellion (1 Samuel 8), 

“I will make the land a desolate waste, and the pride of her strength will come to an end. The mountains of Israel will become desolate, so that no one will pass through. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have made the land a desolate waste because of all the abominations they have committed” (Ezekiel 33:28-29).

However morally degenerate and sinful homosexuality is (and I do not wish to diminish it as a form of rebellion against God), God is arguably more often focused on the patriotic sin of statism held by conservatives, where the State is held up as a “god.” Contra conservatives, who believe they are better than the gays to point to their pride flag (the American flag) instead, it is the support for these violent systems that most often stirs God’s anger. It is precisely things such as conservatives’ state worship, which allow such evil political systems as the American one to grow, that causes God to judge societies, i.e., to send the sword against them. 

“And I will hand these things over as plunder to foreigners and loot to the wicked of the earth, who will defile them. I will turn My face away from them, and they will defile My treasured place. Violent men will enter it, and they will defile it….For the land is full of crimes of bloodshed, and the city is full of violence. So I will bring the most wicked of nations to take possession of their houses. I will end the pride of the mighty, and their holy places will be profaned” (Ezekiel 7:21-24).

God is talking about prideful statists (e.g., conservatives) when His word tells us that, “As a well gushes its water, so she pours out her evil. Violence and destruction resound in her; sickness and wounds are ever before Me” (Jeremiah 6:7). Wherever there is a State, there is a violence, as political rule is founded upon and sustained by robbery (taxation) and force (threatening the non-payers). Statism is a central part of the evils that God witnesses when He looks down upon His creation’s rebellion. The sinful pride of statism is what God is talking about when He tells His people, “Your hands are stained with blood, and your fingers with iniquity” (Isaiah 59:3). It is such things as statism (i.e., the pride that men have for their political systems and its rulers) that God sees as judgment-deserving rebellion when He says that men “fill the land with violence and continually provoke Me to anger” (Ezekiel 8:7). Statism is part of the evils that God sees when He says that “the iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great. The land is full of bloodshed, and the city is full of perversity” (Ezekiel 9:9).

At any rate, “conservatives” are just as much (if not more) in need of repentance as the prideful homosexuals who they believe are so different from them when it comes to being lost in sin and inviting judgment upon our society. The conservative flag-worshiper is very much so one of the people who “lifts his eyes to idols” (Ezekiel 18:12), against God’s instruction. For supporting the system of political plunder with their supposedly different and non-sinful form of pride, they are the very people responsible for helping us to arrive at this point, where God would be just to destroy us; the gays are more so a late-stage symptom of a long-failing empire.

By saying that the American flag is their pride flag, rather than some rainbow colored one of the obviously lost homosexuals, these people show themselves to be just as foolish, prideful, and sinful as those who they think are their enemies. Though the gays have perverted the meaning of love in their favor, attacking anyone who criticizes them as being based in “hate,” they are often able to gain the upper-hand on people who foolishly support such obviously destructive and evil flags as the American one, and the systems they represent, as the supposed means of combating the gay agenda. This flag is bloodstained to the core, and it is arguably an even better example of Biblical idolatry than the rainbow symbol that has been appropriated by those who are likewise lost in the world of sin.
