On the Corruption of Christian Concepts in the Modern Church: The Anarchist Gospel of God’s Kingdom vs. the False Prophets of Statism

Leaving Egypt Ministries, Obadiah D. Morris

When we compare the ideas and practices of the early Christians—who, as Edward Gibbon noted, were building God’s literal Kingdom in the heart of the Roman Empire—with modern Christians who do not even blush at their sinful and adulterous affiliation with the kingdoms of the world and who think, act, and live like unashamed Romans, we find a stark contrast between a true Christianity that exists in conflict with human governments and its modern counterfeit that acts as a friend of the world and thus an enemy of God.

Unlike Christians today who think they are saved and repentant on their mere professions of faith, such that they may continue in the wicked ideologies and practices of the world, the early Christians knew that to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and follow Him as your King meant to exist as a literal Kingdom-people who were not of the world of Romes and Egypts, which ran their systems of welfare and protection on compulsory taxation that brought all those who accepted their benefits into the bondage of human governments. Unlike so-called Christians today, who sit around in so-called churches while thinking and living like Romans every other day of the week, the early Christians were seeking a legitimate Kingdom as the outward sign of their repentance. Unlike modern Christians (so-called) who count their vain churchian rituals as practicing pure religion, the early Christians knew that to worship the Lord was actually to serve Him alone in a community of people who loved their neighbors by directly caring for and serving them. They were actually working to serve one another in a network of assistance that maintained a daily ministration of private charity and service to one another, unlike Christians today who call their Sunday rituals “worship services” and don’t actually lift a finger in the cause of furthering a literal Kingdom of aid to each other that works to keep their people out of the bondage of Egypt and away from the temptation of her bondage-inducing benefits. They knew that Jesus actually appointed to them a Kingdom, and not merely the worldly institution called a “church” today that men sit around in once a week to be sermonized by some false prophet. They actually sought another means of welfare than the violent kingdoms of the world that operate through covetousness and authority, unlike professing Christians today who consider religion to be nothing more than some loosely conceived faith and church attendance which passes off the responsibility to serve and feed others to human rulers who do it by bringing men into the bondage of the world. They knew that to partake in the socialist benefits of the fathers of the world and their systems of state-run welfare was a covetous practice that would lead their people into bondage, unlike the church-goers of today who fail to maintain any genuine network of charity that would keep their people feeding from the tables of the (civil) fathers of the world by feeding them themselves and calling their people away from welfare systems of the world that tempt the people into slavery by offering them “free” bread that is actually funded by robbing their neighbors. The early Christians knew that gathering together was for the purpose of living like a Kingdom-people and serving each other, unlike churchians today whose idea of fellowship is “going to church” and sitting around for the Sunday performance and spectacle put on by seminary-trained and so-called “pastors” who don’t actually feed the sheep of God’s Kingdom. They knew the point of the “church” was to exist as the actual (non-authoritarian) government of God’s Kingdom that would work to assure that those who were repenting of the civil bondage and citizenship in Egypt would have another Kingdom to come into so that they could leave behind the ways of the world and its governments and live and exist separately from them, unlike “Christians” today who treat “church” as the place where their “religion” is practiced and human civil government as the place where their “political” needs are met and “law” and “justice” is upheld in society. They knew that they were only going to be saved if they did the will of the Father and kept His commandments by actively seeking to be their brother’s keeper, which is only effectively done by gathering together in a network of charity and giving among those who make up the congregations of God’s Kingdom and want to see to it that their neighbors are free as the way of making themselves free. They knew, unlike the false pastors of today, thar the role of true pastors was to actually shepherd the sheep of God’s Kingdom to safety by keeping them away from the sinful practices of the world and its violent systems of welfare and lawmaking. They knew that the proof that one was a Christian who had been truly Born Again was not just that they said they believed in the Lord, but that they were actually a doer of His word whose fruits showed the signs of their repentance

The dilutions and distortions

So how did this change come about, and who was responsible for it? When did Christianity become nothing more than a merely spiritual faith or mystical religion, stripped of the political essence that points to an actual alternative society that stood opposed to the statist systems of the world? How was the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, as set against the rival “gospels” of human rulers who promise salvation through their own kingdoms, reduced to a vague notion of Jesus dying for our sins that no longer includes a call to repent from the civil jurisdictions of this world and become citizens of God’s Kingdom instead? How is it that professing Christians today for the most part see no contradiction whatsoever in embracing the worldly ideology of statism while professing to serve a King who made it clear that His Kingdom is not of this world? How is it that the Christian idea of religion has just become one of church rituals that don’t keep men from their idolatry for the kingdoms of the world? How is it that the Gospel that liberates man from the bondage of Babylons has become a diluted gospel that now makes room for blessing the very systems that it abolishes? How is it that the faith that once got men persecuted by the Romans has now become the main means by which the systems of men find moral approval and theological justification? How is it that men came to believe that law and justice belong to Caesar and that the only role of Christians is to sing hymns on Sunday morning and never contest his rule by serving each other freely again and turning away from the idolatry and free bread of Rome that makes men into her slaves? How is it that what is called Christianity today has become a counterfeit of the true faith, which calls men to come out of the kingdoms of the world and place their trust in the Lord alone to save, protect, and provide for them?

In a great way, one finds that the institutionalists of the world — from so-called church leaders, seminary professors, academics, intellectuals, and government agents — have very much been behind this shift from Christianity as a radical political doctrine to being nothing more than some spiritualized faith that said nothing of how men must live on earth — a shift that was engineered precisely to dumb down the radical politics of Christianity and its anarchistic Gospel of another Kingdom, so that all those who will inevitably believe in some idea of God would just become impotent and powerless against the kingdoms of the world as they are disarmed of the necessary ideology that can empower them to agitate others and call them to actually take up the responsibility of seeking this Kingdom and begin immediately trusting in the provision of the Lord rather than the deceitful benefits of false gods.

When a discerning man compares the popular conceptions of crucial Christian doctrines as taught by false prophets and institutional leaders in the modern church to the word of God itself, he soon finds that the men who occupy these propagandist pulpits and seminary podiums that work to deceive the lost sheep and lead them to ruin have deeply diluted and distorted the basic ideas of Christianity into ones that suit their own efforts to defend the kingdoms of the world as perfectly permissible and ideal in God’s eyes.

Whether these men accomplish their goals of deceiving others into the statist ideology of the world by neglecting to address statism as sin and failing to call them to seek God’s Kingdom in repentance, or by misleading men into overt idolatry for the kingdoms of the world, one will soon find that all the so-called pastors, leaders, guides, or teachers in modern Christian are nothing more than gatekeepers of the true faith who exist to shut the Kingdom of God up in the faces of those who might seek it were they not trapped in churchian rituals and lies instead.

Since the whole of Scripture represents a call for men everywhere to repent of the sins of statism—namely the idolatry, covetousness, and the slothfulness to build God’s Kingdom network of charity and service to others—and to seek the Kingdom of God that is not of this world or its systems, it was always necessary for the devil, who is behind the scenes of every human government, to raise up tens of thousands of deceivers to stand in the way. Their purpose, which they fulfill well, is to keep men from reaching the truly radical, anarchistic truth of the Gospel, which stands in direct opposition to the demonic kingdoms of this world. This is the work of false pastors, false prophets, and false professors who labor in churches, seminaries, universities, and governments to conceal the truth or to corrupt it entirely before anyone might find it on their own. They are the reason why professing Christianity today is filled with an endless amount of statist idolaters who, at the first signs of opposition to their statist ideology by God’s true prophets, have been programmed into “render unto Caesar” robots who only know how to repeat the few lines of scripture—“but Romans 13 says”—that they believe defends their statist worldview.

Though men today regard the so-called pastors and “Bible teachers” as authorities on the word of God, most all of them serve to deceive and keep the truth from the people: that God despises statism, sees it as the chief expression of human sin and rebellion against Him, and calls men to seek His anarchist Kingdom instead. As Tolstoy writes of these men,

“The church pastors, who call themselves teachers in opposition to Christ’s precept, and dispute among themselves, constitute no kind of authority, and that which the Churchmen teach us is not Christianity” (Tolstoy, The Kingdom of God Is Within You, p. 49).

Despite the dupes who defend these knaves as learned men who we should defer to for the truth, the true purpose of these men is precisely to stand in its way. This is why Christianity—a radical, anarchistic gospel that stands in direct contrast to the false gospel of statism—has come to be something dominated by statist false converts who, if one didn’t know any better, would make others think it’s just another Roman ideology when it is anything but that. The moment men might begin to grasp that Jesus’s message was a political one that calls them to leave the kingdoms of this world and seek the anarchistic Kingdom of God, as well as come out of these false churches that pose as Christian organizations, these false teachers are ready to mislead the sheep into vain churchian rituals that have nothing to do with loving and serving their neighbors in a real network of mutual that would abolish the kingdoms of the world that these men work to uphold and preserve. They are the blind guides of scripture, who are either conscious of their deceptions or blind men themselves that don’t know any better but who achieve the same end-result of keeping people from repenting for the sin of statism and building God’s Kingdom. They work to catch all the men who we need to build God’s Kingdom with us and confine them to pews and church buildings as their idea of being a Christian. They work to turn away all the men who might discover that God is an anarchist and get them to believe that God approves of the statist ideology of the world. They work, in short, to keep the truths of scripture and God from the masses so that men never actually wake up. Far from existing as the people who have come to teach men all about Jesus, as Tolstoy writes, “[The churches], aided by the support of temporal authorities [and] developed into powerful institutions, have been the principal obstacles to the diffusion of a true comprehension of the teaching of Christ” (Tolstoy, The Kingdom of God Is Within You, p. 39). Though men think these “churches” exist to “preach the gospel,” the real case is that “the significance of the Gospel is hidden from believers by the Church” (Ibid., p. 32).

The religious elite as the deceivers

It has always been precisely the men who claim to be teachers and instructors of God’s word who have been the main perverters of the truth among men, not just “secularists” or “atheists,” as modern Christians might make things out to be. It was the religionist elite, who have always been plugged into the Roman political systems of the world, who were the very type of men Jesus denounced as leading the sheep astray.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let in those who wish to enter” (Matthew 23:13).

Since the true Gospel message of Jesus is that of salvation under another King of a literal Kingdom that men are to seek in order to be liberated from the bondage of human government, it was always necessary for the statists of the world, who all work for the devil, to place men in the way of those who might come to this realization—whether on their own or through the evangelism of others teaching it—and actually launch an abolitionist effort to bring men to this great and righteous cause. The work of the modern church and its false pastors is thus to substitute vain rituals and Sunday singalongs for the real Christian work of calling others to repent and seek the Kingdom of God and actually begin serving each other as citizens of another Kingdom who are not in bondage to the kingdoms of the world because we are no longer partaking in the sins that lead to men becoming captives to Egypts and Babylons.

The work of these men is to call their sophist sermons, piano singalongs, and pew-sitting actual fellowship, gatherings, or “worship services, though they contain neither worship nor service. In this way, they ensure that anyone genuinely interested in loving and serving the Lord—who taught that those who love Him keep His commandments—goes no further than attending a so-called “church” once a week, while otherwise remaining Babylonians in practice who return to their jobs working for the government of the devil on Monday morning or spreading the ideology of statism to everyone they come into contact with rather than the abolitionist ideology of God’s Kingdom and the Gospel message of Jesus that liberates man from the dominion of man. In this way, in the absence of any real network of charity that works to feed the sheep and liberate them from the covetous practices of accepting the benefits of authoritarian rulers, men are left to feed at the Roman trough for their needs of welfare and protection and left to be the slaves and subjects of human governments who have to pray to the civil fathers of the world to provide for them, and the Kingdom of God consequently never gets built. The religionists of the world, who pose as men of God in the so-called churches and seminaries and who are perceived as the authorities on His word and will, exist to keep men from actually building God’s Kingdom, as their method of thereby allowing for the advancement for the kingdoms of men in the slothful void left by the people who were never empowered by the true Gospel of the Kingdom of God. They exist to keep men from actually carrying out the real work of the Lord—freely assembling together to uphold one’s direct responsibility and service to your neighbors—which would thereby abolish the kingdoms of men. Thus, as Jesus accuses them,

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You pay tithes of mint, dill, and cumin. But you have disregarded the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faithfulness” (Matthew 23:23).

These men exist to turn the concept of “religion” into nothing more than one’s beliefs about God or the private, spiritual side of a man, so that men never actually practice the pure religion of serving one another that, if performed regularly and permanently, would make the public religion of socialism that is inherent to all human government obsolete and non-existent. They exist to replace the real work of feeding and caring for our neighbors—the role of any true pastor—with outward displays of religiosity, while inwardly they are evil men who do not denounce the sins of statism or call others to seek the Kingdom of God in repentance. Thus, as Jesus continued,

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside may become clean as well. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and every kind of impurity. In the same way, on the outside you appear to be righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness” (Matthew 23:25-28).

The Bible vs. the false church

When men who know the sacred anarchist manifesto of Holy Scripture confront what passes for the Christian religion today among its tens of thousands of false prophets and so-called pastors, they soon discover that all the essentially political doctrines of Scripture, namely as it is summed up in the gospel of God’s Kingdom as set in opposition to the kingdoms of man, are either omitted altogether, as the surest way to keep men from ever finding them, or otherwise distorted and diluted, which becomes necessary when men will encounter them on their own anyway and ready-made, “official” interpretations are needed to explain them in a way that is conducive with the existence of the kingdoms of the world that, in fact, stand as enemies of God’s Kingdom.

They will find, for instance, that the concept of “sin” has been completely severed from the idolatry and wickedness bound up with supporting human civil government, which these false pastors not only fail to condemn as evil but often present as God’s own ideal order, deserving of our praise and allegiance. They will likewise discover that “repentance” has been reduced to turning from some vaguely defined wrongdoing that is entirely divorced from the call to abandon the wicked statist path of the world, where men in rebellion against God’s Kingdom raise up human rulers and praise their soldiers and police as the great guardians of so-called freedom, justice, law, and order.

One of the most stunning things about reading the Bible for the first time is finding out that God’s word is more or less exactly the opposite of all the common church teachings and ideas of professing Christians, which many unwittingly assume represent the genuine teachings of the Lord. Since those who profess to be followers of Jesus are largely statist idolaters who make it seem as if supporting presidents or “backing the blue” is consistent with Christianity, rather than the very thing that proves one to be a friend of the world and thus an enemy of God, onlookers can only assume that Christianity is actually a doctrine wholly compatible with the Babylonian politics of the world, all while this gospel—the Lord’s salvation from the worldly systems of human government—is, in fact, exactly opposed to everything that King Jesus and His Kingdom represents.

The truth is that the Gospel of God’s Kingdom is an anarchist message of salvation from the kingdoms of the world that the idolaters who profess to be Christians today trust in to save them. The whole message of all of Scripture, and of Jesus’s gospel in particular, is an anarchist one condemning the kingdoms of the world as raised up in sin and existing as nothing more than a judgment upon the wicked works of those who have raised them up and furthered them through their idolatry for these men and their covetous desires for the benefits of these authoritarian rulers who fund their schemes by robbing our neighbors

The Bible as an anarchist manifesto

If all this is true then, if the Bible is really a civics textbook of anarchist political science that shows men the way out of Egypt through repentance from the sins that led to political bondage, then how is it that men have not taken up this great effort to come out of the kingdoms of the world yet? Well, you have stumbled upon one of the greatest mysteries of the world! How is it that Holy Scripture—this sacred anti-statist text that condemns the kingdoms of world and its supporters as rebels of God—has survived today, has been in the hands of millions of people, and yet only a tiny remnant have ever seen that God hates statism and wants men to seek His Kingdom alone? If we had a perfect answer for this, then I suppose all the troubles of the world would have already gone away! All the evils that men have brought upon themselves by failing to heed the counsel of the word of God, which calls men to repent of their idolatry and seek the Lord’s Kingdom alone, would have been avoided in the first place, and we wouldn’t even need to be here writing about it today, spending our time trying to convince a bunch of reprobates that they are under a strong delusion and risking our necks trying to get them to turn from their wicked ways that they have stubbornly clung to and resisted since the beginning of time.

The amazing and baffling thing about the ubiquity of the Bible today is that an anarchist manifesto sits around the homes of tens of millions of people’s homes, yet who remain statist idolaters who have never come to the basic truths of scripture that are just sitting there waiting there to be discovered. We may well call it one of the great mysteries of the world how the word of God is a political textbook, anarchist manifesto, and liberation manual for getting out of captivity to human government, yet which hasn’t been seen by the vast majority of people who call themselves Christians. Here is the word of God, explaining that men go into bondage for sin, and yet the average Christian finds political theory to be irrelevant to the Bible and as radical as they get is to tell others that smoking cigarettes and drinking too much wine is what sin is all about. Apparently some 80% of American houses contain Bibles, though few are read regularly. This means that most Americans have a divinely-placed freedom manual for getting out of Egypt right in their homes, but they have not implemented it by repenting and seeking God’s Kingdom in their repentance. Every neighborhood in America has a radical, anti-Egyptian, anarchist manifesto on their shelves just waiting to revolutionize their minds and regenerate their hearts, but the people who possess it have not yet taken to its teachings and began to reform their own Egyptian ways of thinking.

One would think that the governments of the world would then ban Bibles, given that it is the one document in the world that holds the hope of waking men up to their bondage and leading them to repent for the sins that uphold their kingdoms. Sadly, they haven’t needed to in our time. The idolatry of men takes care of it for them and squashes any attempt in men to break out of their love of the world. It is probably true, for the most part, that men don’t even read their Bibles. But even if they do this with eyes that cannot see and ears that are stopped-up or tickled by the lies of false pastors, they will rarely come to these truths anyway—not because they aren’t sitting right there waiting to be digested by anyone who is humble enough to sit at the foot of God and learn, but because these men, in all their pride and idolatry, read the Bible with their worldly eyes and impose upon it their worldly-statist political ideology that they held prior to ever cracking it open. However, in the off-chance that some independent Bible reader may come to realize for himself that God is an anarchist and the kingdoms of the world are evil, the devil has already been one step ahead of us and staffed the churches, seminaries, and other institutions of learning with thousands of false prophets to preach that statism is approved by God.

If men actually read their Bibles for themselves, they would see that Jesus teaches that His servants cannot exercise authority over others like the rulers of the kingdoms of the world do — that His followers must, in other words, be anarchists. This is where the role of the false teachers of Christianity come in to provide for men some other teaching than the direct words of Jesus Christ, who preaches words — “call no man your father,” “a man cannot have two masters,” “repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” — that show His teachings to be in direct conflict with the kingdoms of the world that the false prophets exist to defend. As Tolstoy writes, “This is the work of the churches: to instill a false interpretation of Christ’s teaching into men, and to prevent a true interpretation of it for the majority of so-called believers” (Tolstoy, The Kingdom of God Is Within You, p. 51).

The dilution of Christianity in the churches

Though we can never discount the ability of individual idolaters to corrupt the word of God for themselves and deny its most basic teachings, what we see is that a lot of the corruption of core Christian concepts, such as the diluted or distorted teachings on sin, repentance, salvation, and the gospel, have originated in the institutions and have been disseminated by institutionalists who operate within them, which then work to allow the worldly political philosophy of statism to creep into the wide open space these men have left by purposely stripping the Biblical message of its political essence. It is the so-called churches and their seminary-trained “pastors” who serve as false shepherds over the people and exist to lead them astray into the pews and keep them from actually seeking the Kingdom of God. It is these men who are responsible for the generic and vague “Christianity” we have today that understands “religion” to mean nothing more than partaking in church rituals, gospels to mean nothing more than the belief that Jesus rose from the grave, salvation to be nothing more than going to heaven when we die, sin as nothing more than one’s inherent wickedness, and repentance as nothing more than some verbal declaration that they have accepted Jesus’s forgiveness of “my sins.”

Besides the fact that the modern church (so-called) is not actually the body politic of Christ that they claim to be, which would function as the government of God’s Kingdom that redistributes the charity of families who give freely to support the welfare of a free society that has no authoritarian system of government, another reason these institutions are fraudulent is that they fail—purposely or out of their own ignorance—to actually describe what sin and repentance are really about. Even though the role of the true church is not actually preaching sermons on Sunday morning, still they manage to teach only lies and drive men away from the anarchistic heart of the gospel of God’s Kingdom. When we look around and wonder how it is that professing Christians today have become indistinguishable from the Romans of the world, we can look no farther than these falsely-called “ministers” and “pastors” of the falsely-called “churches.” It is these men who have been responsible for producing the falsely converted people of our time who profess themselves Christians and say they have “repented” of their “sins,” but were never even told what these sins were and believe they are “saved” (i.e., going to heaven) even while they walk in the ways of the world.

Of course, it is not possible for the institutionalists of the world to tell people what sin, repentance, and salvation are truly about, because if such sins as idolatry, covetousness, and slothfulness to seek God’s Kingdom that are bound up with the statist practices of the world were actually spelled out for others, then these false prophets who run these institutions would have to repent and turn away from their wickedness too, and they would also be out of jobs as men who operate false churches that have nothing to do with the actual ecclesia or government of God’s Kingdom, which if actually maintained would abolish human government for those people who repented and joined this Kingdom society of men whose direct service to others make man’s kingdoms obsolete.

This is also why the so-called Christians of the world today are beyond rebuke and take offense to any correction of their idolatry: they have never had to be accountable to these sins in their so-called churches that don’t teach them that human governments are raised up and furthered as direct violations of God’s Law, and instead tell them they’re “saved” merely on account of what they mistakenly call their “belief” or “faith.” They have never known repentance as actually turning away from the sins of statism and seeking God’s Kingdom instead, and so are naturally offended when someone finally tells them that their love of the world and its institutions (both the Church and State) are based in sin. This is why they respond that “you don’t have the right to judge me” when we are only making righteous and non-hypocritical corrections for them, which they can’t handle in their subconscious conviction for their sin.

The work of the so-called churches and so-called pastors today—neither which feed the flocks of God’s Kingdom as true shepherds—is to widen the road that Jesus taught was narrow, to make it more accessible and open to people who have not truly repented, to make these people feel as if they are repentant and saved people merely because they recited some declaration that they “believe in Jesus” or say they have repented of their “sins,” and to ultimately to act as gatekeepers who shut the Kingdom of God up in their faces by pacifying them with churchian rituals that keep them from carrying out the works of mercy of a true Kingdom people who love the Lord in deed and not just in words.

It is largely through these institutions, which are really contracted with the world through state-approval of their existence, that Christianity today has become nothing more than lip service to being a servant of Christ, all while the works of its people are still slothful or outright wicked. It is from the teachings of the modern church, so called, that men have believed they don’t actually need to seek the Kingdom of God with their neighbors or that it is not forbidden by God to join Pharaoh’s government as a politician, soldier, or police officer. It is under the lies of the modern church that men believe they can be statists and still call themselves Christians.

The slothful shall be under tribute

If you took it from the false prophets of the world and the majority of professing Christians who have fallen under their sway or who are simply victims of their own self-delusions, than you would be told that the worldly system of human civil governments exist because “God gave them to us.” Rather than the truth, that sinners set them up in their rebellion to God, we are taught that the God of the Bible, who never once instructed men to raise up human rulers and always said it was a rejection of His kingship, supposedly wills that men have other gods than the Lord over them.

This false teaching has been largely aided by the fact that the false teachers have turned Christianity into nothing more than a “religious” doctrine concerning the salvation of one’s soul, rather than an inherently political gospel of another literal Kingdom on earth that we are to be seeking. The real explanation for the existence of human government is much more simple: the sins of man—both his overt idolatry for human rulers, his desire for the benefits provided by these false gods, as well as the slothful failure to seek the Kingdom of God—have been behind the erection and expansion of such wicked systems as these. The inherently socialistic governments of the world, which rope those who take their stolen benefits into bondage, exist not because they perform some “civil role” that is beyond the responsibility of Christians to take on, but precisely because professing Christians today have substituted vain rituals for their idea of worship and service and have refused to actually exist as a body politic that feeds the sheep of God’s Kingdom freely and voluntarily. It has been through the dilution of the truly political nature of the Body of Christ—this has been the main goal of the false prophets of the institutional church—that the statist kingdoms of the world have been seen as the necessary institutions for salvation on earth. It has only been possible for human civil government to exist under this false dichotomy of politics and religion which makes Christianity into a merely spiritual or heavenly matter concerning the salvation of the soul and human government into some physical or earthly matter regarding the organization of social order, when the truth is that pure religion in practice—that is, actually serving one another freely and voluntarily rather than practicing mere churchian rituals—provides the basis for another political kingdom, while the political practices of the world represent another religion altogether that true Christians should take no part in maintaining.
